Policywings Insurance Broking — IRDAI License, Services, and What Makes Us Different

Every city in India has thousands of insurance sellers. Most are agents — individuals or small firms representing one insurance company. Noida, one of India's most insurance-aware cities by professional profile and household income, deserves a different kind of service: independent, data-driven, multi-insurer comparison from a licensed professional with a regulatory obligation to your best interest.
That is what Policywings is.
Who We Are — The Verified Facts
Company name: Policywings Insurance Broking Pvt. Ltd.
IRDAI Registration: Composite Insurance Broker License Number: DB 835 Valid Until: 12 August 2028 Issued by: Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI)
Office: A-57, 5th Floor, Sector-136, Noida 201301, Uttar Pradesh Phone: +91-98111-67809 Website: policywings.com
IRDAI's licensing of Policywings as a composite insurance broker means we are authorised to advise on and arrange all categories of insurance — life, health, general (motor, property, marine, liability), and commercial — from any IRDAI-registered insurer operating in India.
The composite broker license is the broadest license available in the IRDAI broker framework. It covers all insurance classes in one registration, allowing Policywings to address the full spectrum of a client's insurance needs from a single relationship.
Our Location — Sector-136, Noida
Sector-136 is at the heart of Noida's Expressway belt — approximately equidistant from Sector-62 (north Noida's IT hub), the Sector-137–168 residential belt along the Expressway, and the Greater Noida boundary. The office at A-57, 5th Floor, Sector-136 is accessible by road and metro (Sector-137 Metro Station on the Aqua Line).
For Noida Expressway residents, Greater Noida West families, Knowledge Park employers, and businesses across the Noida–Greater Noida industrial and IT corridor, Policywings is a local office — not a remote call centre.
What "Composite Insurance Broker" Means for You
IRDAI's insurance market has three types of intermediaries:
Individual Agents: Represent one insurer. Can sell only that company's products. Have no obligation to compare market options.
Corporate Agents (Bancassurance): Banks and large financial institutions that sell insurance products. Typically restricted to 2–3 insurers per category. Optimised for their own distribution economics.
Insurance Brokers (Individual, Direct, Composite, Reinsurance): Represent the policyholder, not the insurer. Required to act in the client's best interest. Authorised to compare and arrange policies from any IRDAI-registered insurer.
As a composite broker with license DB 835, Policywings is subject to the IRDAI (Insurance Brokers) Regulations, which include:
- Maintaining client confidentiality
- Disclosing commission arrangements
- Not receiving volume-based incentives that could compromise independent advice
- Maintaining professional qualifications (IRDAI-certified advisors)
- Maintaining errors and omissions insurance
- Regulatory audit compliance
When you work with a Policywings advisor, you're working with someone whose regulatory framework requires acting in your interest — not any single insurer's sales quota.
What We Cover — The Full Insurance Portfolio
Health Insurance
We compare retail health insurance for individuals, families, and senior citizens across all major standalone health insurers (Star Health, Niva Bupa, Care Health, Aditya Birla Health) and private general insurers with strong health portfolios (HDFC ERGO, ICICI Lombard, Tata AIG, Bajaj Allianz).
Our comparisons use verified IRDAI data: Claim Settlement Ratios from NL-37 quarterly filings, Incurred Claim Ratios from NL-4/NL-5 disclosures, and complaint volumes from NL-45 public disclosures. We recommend based on the combination of claims quality, plan features, and current premium — not on which insurer is running a promotional campaign.
Life Insurance (Term Plans)
We compare term plans from all major private life insurers — Axis Max Life, HDFC Life, Tata AIA, PNB MetLife, SBI Life, ICICI Prudential, and others. We verify CSR from IRDAI Annual Reports, Amount Settlement Ratios from NL filings, and independent adviser analyses.
Our current term plan recommendation structure leads with Axis Max Life Smart Term Plan Plus (99.62% 3-year CSR, Cover Continuance, CI rider) for most standard Noida profiles — with specific alternative recommendations for NRIs (Tata AIA's USD plan), dual-income couples (SBI Life Better Half Benefit), and PNB banking customers (PNB MetLife 99.81% FY26 CSR).
Motor Insurance
Third-party motor insurance is mandatory under the Motor Vehicles Act. Own-damage and comprehensive covers are optional additions. We compare motor insurance premiums across HDFC ERGO, Bajaj Allianz, ICICI Lombard, Tata AIG, and others for Noida vehicle owners — helping clients identify the best combination of premium, cashless garage network near Noida, and claims settlement speed.
Group Health for Businesses
For Noida's tech companies, manufacturing units, startups, and SMEs, we arrange group health insurance with Day-1 PED coverage for all enrolled employees. Group health plans with HDFC ERGO, Bajaj Allianz, and ICICI Lombard are commonly arranged for teams from 5 to 5,000 employees.
Professional Indemnity and D&O
For Noida's doctors, architects, IT consultants, and startup founders, we arrange professional indemnity insurance (covering malpractice and professional negligence claims) and Directors & Officers (D&O) insurance (covering personal liability of company directors).
Commercial and Industrial Insurance
For Noida's manufacturing sector (Sector-58 to Sector-80 industrial area), logistics companies, and Greater Noida's industrial corridors, we arrange fire and property insurance, marine cargo cover, workmen's compensation, and public liability insurance.
Why Noida Families and Businesses Should Have a Broker Relationship
At the Time of Purchase
An insurance agent who works for one company will show you only their plans. An independent broker compares the market. For a standard Noida family profile, the right health insurer may be HDFC ERGO in 2026 but — if their claims trajectory changes — might be Aditya Birla in 2028. A broker relationship adapts as the market changes.
At the Time of Renewal
We review every client's coverage at renewal:
- Has the sum insured kept pace with medical inflation?
- Has the insurer's CSR changed meaningfully?
- Have new plans launched that would suit the client better?
- Are there portability advantages available?
At the Time of a Claim
When a claim is filed, Policywings is available to support the process: verifying documentation, following up on cashless pre-authorization, and escalating where appropriate. A broker's relationship with insurers enables more effective claim follow-up than an individual policyholder acting alone.
The Knowledge Behind Our Recommendations
This blog series — 50 detailed articles across Series 3, 160 articles across Series 1, 2, and 3 — represents Policywings' public commitment to insurance literacy for Noida's residents. Every article is research-backed, sources are hyperlinked, and no recommendation is based on commission preference.
We believe that a better-informed insurance buyer makes a better client — because they understand why the plan they've chosen suits them, and they're less likely to make impulsive decisions when a renewal pitch from another insurer arrives.
The articles, comparisons, and explanations in this series are available at policywings.com/blog for reference before, during, and after the purchase process.
