The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has come up with many kinds of licenses that allow individuals/entities to sell and service insurance. One can be an Agent, a Corporate Agent, a Web Aggregator, an Insurance Marketing Firm (IMF) or a Broker. Amongst all these licences, the Broking license is considered the most enabling license and it has far higher compliance requirements than other licenses. The Broking license, therefore, comes with the most responsibility associated with it.
